Kids at Hope Honor Awards
Set aside an hour to celebrate the successes your children have already had. Print awards on store bought or computer generated stationary. Make sure each child receives recognition for something - and be creative! Give awards out for the best sense of humor, best helper, nicest person, and most compassionate person. Once your students feel that first taste of success they'll want more - and they'll work hard to get it!

Don't overlook the numerous opportunities each day for a child to succeed in your classroom or youth center. Ask children to help organize activities, to help plan programs, to pass out supplies or to collect homework. Every little success helps to prepare a child for more successes!

Treasure Hunter's Pledge
Each and every adult who works directly or indirectly with children can be a Treasure Hunter. A Treasure Hunter is an adult who seeks out the hidden treasures in children. Begin your Kids at Hope week or day with all adults reciting the Treasure Hunter's Pledge in front of their children.

Treasure Hunter's Pledge
As an Adult and a Treasure Hunter I am committed to searching for the talents, skills and intelligence that exist in all children and youth. I believe that All Children are Capable of Success, No Exceptions!
Parent Success Night
Honor the Ace of Hearts - the Anchor Parent is the most important and influential person in a child's life. Plan an evening event where parents of the children you serve can be recognized. Too often we only interact with parents when there is a problem - imagine the surprise when parents are invited to be recognized for the hard work they do on behalf of their own children! This can be as simple as a potluck or as involved as a fully catered sit down dinner. Take this opportunity to recognize parents for their volunteer work. Also take this opportunity to begin to build relationships with parents you might not have had previous contact with. The event could even take the form of a Parent/Child Dance. Have fun with the planning of this event!

The ONLY Report Card where children cannot fail! Celebrate the treasures and talents that lie inside every child with a Kids at Hope Report Card. Invite parents and other caring adults to visit your classroom while you publicly acknowledge all the wonderful qualities about their children.
